Every bedroom has its own bathroom. Poured basins, brass taps, walk-in showers, and in one of them a bath set against a window with nothing in front of it but the mountain.

The materials are the same throughout the house: raw concrete, oak, brass that is allowed to age. Nothing is polished to a shine, and nothing pretends to be a hotel. Little Rock has its own, in concrete and terrazzo, with a basin that looks straight out into the trees.
